"...This Mog is for sale again after selling twice in 4 yrs.
Advertised & sold for 25000 euros then about 2 yrs later advertised again for 40000 euros (& sold). On both occasions I spoke at length with the respective owners after discovering the car has a "borrowed" 4/4 title. The first seller gave me quite an interesting account of circumstances when offered for sale & was unaware, like the subsequent owner of the forged ID.
Although a genuine Comp model, it is a VERY dodgy deal...

Plus de détails d'emog:
"...Roderich,
That was an understatement in my email. I should have said rocambolesque rather than interesting account!
Here's the story:
1) Garage owner ends up with an unpaid bill, probably a hefty one.
2) Mog owner forgets he owns a Mog & never shows up but presumably keeps the title.
3) Garage owner happens to obtain a Mog 4/4 title of the same year, perhaps from a scrapyard owner.
4) Garage owner shaves off original +4 four-digit chassis number & replaces it with a plate with the B**** 4/4 chassis number.
5) Garage owner sells it quickly at a giveaway price. The "borrowed" title indicates 9 fiscal hp instead of 12 hp for a Plus 4.
6) Subsequent owner sells the car for 25000 euros. I saw the ad & had an interesting conversation with the seller...
7) New owner tries to sell it at 40000 euros 2 yrs ago.
8) I inform him that I know of the car & that I have even informed the previous owner of the fiddle.
9) Owner cancels the for sale ad on account of discovering that he could, in turn, be accused of being a complice or worse still, the perpetrator of the said fiddle.
10) Owner phones me today to ask me what I think it's worth.
I told him 40000 euros provided the Mog has a restituted ID with correct chassis number & 12 cv (fiscal hp).
Only 3 Competition models were sold here in France. One was destroyed & the other one is still around but painted green.
Bon week-end!
